Safe Tips From Haven the Heron: Week of 3/5/18
This week’s message from Haven is all about seatbelt safety. Buckling up on every ride is the single most important thing a family can do to stay safe in the car. Talk about why wearing seat belts is important and consider signing a “Family Pledge” to buckle up.
Seat Belt Safety Tips:
- Be a good example. We know that when adults wear seat belts, kids wear seat belts. So be a good example and buckle up for every ride. Be sure everyone in the vehicle buckles up, too.
- Are you trying to decide if your child is ready to transition out of a seat belt booster seat? Do you need tips on how to do a quick check? Watch this quick video: Safety Belt Fit Test. If your child doesn’t pass the test, keep them in a booster seat until they pass.
- Remember, just because the seat belt fits your child in one car doesn’t mean the seat belt will fit in all cars.
Upcoming Dates to remember:
Monday, March 26- Friday, March 30- No School Spring Break
Thank you for you continued support,
