This is an exciting week! I know Preschool is looking forward to the Ice Skating Field Trip on Thursday. Please remember to send a Bike Helmet with your child, we will be putting the students names on them and transporting them with us to The Ice Cube. If your child has and wants to bring their own skates, a skate drop off is available (they may NOT bring their own skates with them on the bus), please contact Mrs. Geidner for additional information. Preschool will be leaving Thurston around 9:30 on Thursday and returning around 12:30. A pizza lunch is provided, you do not need to send a lunch with your child. Please dress your child appropriately for this field trip, snow pants and mittens for their hands, preschoolers tend to spend a good share of time down on the ice. If you have any questions or concerns please speak with Mrs. Geidner.
I hope everyone got a chance to meet Ms. Vickie, she is joining our classroom as the afternoon TA and aftercare teacher. Ms. Vickie comes to us with years of experience in preschool settings. We are very pleased to welcome her to Thurston.
This week we will continue our unit study comparing and contrasting The Gingerbread Man Stories, and will be continuing with the letter G. We will also be discussing some of the different holidays that are celebrated this time of year.
Preschool needs your help in collecting gallon milk jugs for a project. Please wash and recap before bringing in to preschool. We need a lot of milk jugs to complete this project so your help is greatly appreciated!
December 21 Field Trip to Ann Arbor Ice Cube (volunteering opportunities are available)
December 25- January 5 No School Winter Break (School Resumes January 8)
Just a reminder to please continue checking your grocery items and clipping those Box Top, each ones gives 10 cents to Thurston School.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact Mrs. Geidner, as always your support is greatly appreciated. I want to take this opportunity to thank all the wonderful parents who have volunteered their time to come and share with the preschoolers. It means a lot to the preschoolers and is greatly appreciated by the staff. All of us at preschool want to wish everyone Happy Holidays, we hope you have a safe and wonderful winter break!
